2 teens arrested in shooting of woman in west Orlando

Victim expected to survive

A woman was shot in west Orlando on Tuesday night, according to the police department. (WKMG)

ORLANDO, Fla. – Two teens have been arrested in the shooting of an 18-year-old woman in west Orlando, according to police.

The Orlando Police Department said around 5:54 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to the area of Edgemoor Street and Silverton Street after investigators heard multiple gunshots.

This is about a mile east of North Kirkman Road and just south of State Road 408.

Investigators said the victim was found with a gunshot wound to the face and she was transported to a local hospital. She is expected to recover from her injuries, according to officers.

On Thursday, police said the department’s gang unit found one of the teens, Isaiah Mccree.

Police said Mccree confessed to the shooting.

He is facing an attempted homicide charge.

A second teen was arrested in Seminole County on Friday.

News 6 did not name the second teen arrested as we do not know at this time what charges he will face.
