BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – A cold shelter will open in Brevard County as temperatures may drop to the 40s on Friday night.
The low is projected to be 42 degrees Friday night, according to the National Weather Service.
The shelter will be at the HELPS Community Initiatives building at 2833 Palm Bay Road.

The shelter will open at 6 p.m. on Friday and close at 7 a.m. on Saturday.
County officials said dinner and breakfast will be served.
