Clermont police continue to search for ‘armed and dangerous’ woman

CLERMONT, Fla. – The Clermont Police Department is searching for an attempted murder suspect who fled the scene of a shooting that sent one man to the hospital.

The department said officers responded to a shooting Saturday that involved a man and woman in the 500 block of E. Minnehaha Ave.

Police said the man and woman knew each other and that the woman fled the scene in a car prior to police arriving. The department identified the suspect as Amber Nicole Smith.

Anyone with information is asked to contact authorities. Smith is considered armed and dangerous, according to police.

The investigation is ongoing.
