The victims told police they were stopped at the light when the suspect’s car pulled in front of them and the suspect got out with a gun. The suspect then fired approximately 20 shots at the victim’s vehicle and took off, JSO said.

Jacksonville Fire and Rescue transported the girl to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The sheriff’s office did not say if the driver was injured or not. JSO’s Violent Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Unit responded and will conduct the investigation.

JSO said as of right now there is no other information available, including a description of the suspect or the suspect’s vehicle.
