Florida Silver Alert issued for missing, endangered man, St. Cloud police say

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – Authorities are searching for a man considered missing and endangered, the subject of a Florida Silver Alert issued Sunday, according to the St. Cloud Police Department.

John Ortega, 60, of St. Cloud, was last seen in the area of the 4800 block of Old Glory Way, where police said he left his residence on Friday between 3-9 a.m.

Ortega is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds, with gray hair and a moustache, though it is unknown what he was wearing at the time of his disappearance, police said.

Police believe Ortega may be driving a red, 2014 Honda Odyssey with Florida tag DV04 62M, according to a news release.

Ortega is diagnosed with dementia, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, PTSD and high blood pressure, police said.

Those who see Ortega are asked to call 911.
