DELAND, Fla. – One person died and two others were injured in a DeLand crash Sunday night, according to the police department.
The wreck occurred around 10 p.m. Sunday near near E International Speedway Boulevard and Jacobs Road, police said.

According to a crash report, a car was traveling in the westbound lanes of E International Speedway Blvd. when another driver, Nigel Craig Drummond, traveling the wrong way in the westbound lanes of the same road, crashed into the car.
Officers said the crash, which involved a gray Mazda and brown Volkswagen, is currently under investigation.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other two, including Drummond, were taken to the hospital, investigators said.
