Hurricane Nicole’s wind gusts lash Flagler Beach Pier, already damaged by Ian Waves are also getting rougher at the beach
FLAGLER BEACH, Fla. – Waves are crashing into Flagler Beach Pier as Hurricane Nicole’s winds pushed storm surge into the coast overnight.
Wind gusts picked up in Flagler Beach ahead of Nicole’s landing further south in Florida.

Flagler Beach Pier already sustained heavy damage from Hurricane Ian in September. Part of the pier was torn off in the storm.
The city deemed the pier unsafe and is blocking people from going on the historic structure.
The c ity plans to replace the wooden pier with a concrete structure within the next few years.
