Driver sought after trying to lure children into van, Eustis police say

Driver told children he was their dad’s driver

EUSTIS, Fla. – The Eustis Police Department is working to find a man accused of trying to lure two elementary-aged children into a van with him Wednesday afternoon.

The attempted abduction occurred in the area of Key and Washington avenues, where the man reportedly stopped in a white van next to the children before telling them he was their dad’s driver and was there to pick them up, police said on social media.

He was described as white with a gray beard and blue glasses, according to the post.

The post included a picture of a van that police said may be involved in the case.

Anyone who recognized the van was encouraged to contact the department at 352-357-4121, referencing case No. E23082277.
