Orlando police arrest man in October shooting death of 15-year-old

ORLANDO, Fla. – A 30-year-old man faces charges in the October shooting death of 15-year-old Destin Webster-Thompson, Orlando police announced on Tuesday.

Police said Francois Agardo was arrested for the shooting that killed Webster-Thompson on Oct. 30 at The Villages on Millenia Boulevard apartments.

The teen was rushed to Arnold Palmer Hospital, where he later died, police said.

Orange County Public Schools confirmed the victim was a sophomore at Dr. Phillips High School at the time of the shooting.

Police said Agardo faces charges of first-degree murder with a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Police did not say if the teen was the intended target of the shooting.
