Woman dead, 4 hurt after targeted shooting in Lockhart, deputies say

Shooting occurred in 2800 block of Sudman Way

LOCKHART, Fla. – A woman was killed and four men were hurt in a shooting early Sunday in Lockhart, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded around 2:23 a.m. to the 2800 block of Sudman Way, reporting a woman in her 20s died at the scene after being shot.

The four others who suffered gunshot wounds were comprised of two men in their 20s, a man in his 30s and a man of unknown age, the sheriff’s office said in a statement. Those four were hospitalized “in various conditions ranging from stable to critical,” the statement reads.

Investigators believe the shooting was targeted and were said to still be “sorting out” whether any of the people who were shot are suspects in the case at the time of this report, as well as if anyone is outstanding, according to the sheriff’s office.
