Seminole County leaders debate future of mask mandate
SEMINOLE COUNT, Fla. โ As more people get vaccinated, elected leaders in Seminole County are demanding answers about mask mandates. Seminole County Commissioners discussed the countyโs mask mandate Tuesday asking tough questions about ways to move forward and looking for a better timeline for the countyโs COVID-19 response. County Manager Nicole Guillet said theyโve invited medical experts and have been in touch with them during the pandemic. AdโBoth advisory groups have advised Seminole County not to adjust the mitigation efforts that are currently in place,โ Harris said. Harris said the plan is to bring more medical advisors to the next commission meeting to better clarify where things stand.

1 dead in Orange County house fire
ORLANDO, Fla. โ One person was killed early Tuesday in a house fire in Orange County, officials said. The fatal fire broke out around 3:30 a.m. on Magnolia Lake Lane near Magnolia Homes Road in Lockhart. Orange County Fire Rescue tweeted that the cause of the fire is not known. Lt. Claudia Fernandez with Orange County Fire Rescue said the fire was on the left side of the home where firefighters found the deceased victim. โ(The) State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire and the medical examiner is confirming the cause of death,โ Fernandez said.
