Man rescued after surviving in wrecked truck for 6 days

Matt Reum, 27, drank rain water to live, troopers say

INDIANA – A man in Indiana is making a recovery after being stuck in a wrecked truck for almost a week.

Matt Reum, 27, was traveling westbound on Interstate 94 when he veered off the road and got stuck under an overpass on Dec. 20, pinned and unable to reach his phone.

Reum was discovered on Tuesday by good Samaritans who got a response from him and called for help.

The 27-year-old underwent surgery and had part of his leg amputated, but he’s said to be recovering.

According to troopers, he survived by drinking rain water.
