Man arrested in fatal Orlando road rage shooting on Colonial Drive, police say

Nicholas Carrasquillo, 26, faces charge of 1st-degree murder

ORLANDO, Fla. – A 26-year-old was arrested after a man was killed early Monday in a road rage shooting on Colonial Drive, according to the Orlando Police Department.

The shooting happened around 6:24 a.m. in the 4800 block of East Colonial Drive.

According to police, David Alexzander Sligh, 30, was found shot and taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The department said the other man involved in the incident remained on scene.

Shortly after 4 p.m., police announced the other man, 26-year-old Nicholas Carrasquillo, was arrested in connection to the shooting and faces a first-degree murder charge.

Sky 6 video showed investigators near a white vehicle that was off the road.

Westbound lanes were closed for the investigation but were reopened hours later.

Details of what led to the shooting have not been released.
