Scene clear after gas leak prompts road closure in downtown Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. – A gas leak prompted the closure of a street in downtown Orlando on Friday, according to the city.

City officials said Pine Street had to be closed between South Court and North Orange avenues as Orlando firefighters responded alongside crews from TECO.

By sunrise Saturday, the scene had been cleared.

No evacuations were ordered as a result of this leak and the city has not yet said what caused it.
