Man hospitalized with serious injuries after being shot in Titusville, police say

TITUSVILLE, Fla. – Detectives are asking the public for tips after a man was shot Friday evening in Titusville, according to a news release.

Police said the shooting was reported around 5:45 p.m. in the parking area of 611 North Singleton Avenue, the address of the Florida Department of Health in Brevard County’s Titusville Clinic.

Officers located the victim with an apparent gunshot wound and he was taken to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries, the release states. The victim has so far only been described as a local man.

No other injuries were reported and preliminary evidence suggests the shooting was an isolated incident, police said, adding the unknown suspect or suspects ran away before law enforcement arrived.
