ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – One person was sent to the hospital as a trauma alert after a residential fire on Wednesday in Orange County, according to a news release.

Officials at Orange County Fire Rescue said the fire was reported in the 6900 block of Mediterranean Road.

According to the release, a mobile home was about 50% involved with flames and smoke when firefighters arrived.

The fire department said one person was sent to ORMC as a trauma alert with first-degree burn injuries.

A short time later, OCFR said that the fire was knocked down.

“It caused extensive damage to the back of the house, damage to its adjacent trailer and minor damage to a neighboring home,” the release read in part.

Fire officials said the mobile home is uninhabitable.
