Man faces charges in downtown Orlando stabbing

ORLANDO, Fla. – A 28-year-old man faces charges after police said he stabbed a person outside of a downtown Orlando taco restaurant on Sunday evening, according to a news release.

Police said they were flagged down around 10:08 p.m. because of a stabbing that happened outside the Taco Kat located at 11 S. Court Ave.

According to the release, when officers arrived, they found a victim who was transported to a local hospital. Police did not disclose the condition of the victim.

Police said a suspect – William Janey – was identified after trying to leave the scene.

According to a release, “investigative results led to the arrest of” Janey who faces a charge of attempted second-degree murder.
