Orlando man dies after motorcycle strikes tree in Orange County, FHP says

Crash occurred on Conway Road near McCoy Road

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A 44-year-old Orlando man died after the motorcycle he was riding struck a tree Saturday night in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 10 p.m. on southbound Conway Road, north of McCoy Road, troopers said.

According to an FHP crash report, the rider failed to negotiate a curve and the motorcycle ran off the roadway into the median as a result. The motorcycle struck a tree and the man was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, troopers said.

It was unknown whether the man was wearing a helmet in the crash, the report states.

FHP is still investigating.
