Jury finds Nelson Odige guilty of raping woman at Pine Hills bus stop

ORLANDO, Fla. – A man accused in a series of rapes in the Pine Hills area of Orange County in 2023 was found guilty Thursday in one of the cases.

It took jurors just a few hours to find Nelson Odige guilty of sex battery with a weapon and kidnapping.

Odige, 30 at the time of his arrest, was accused of raping four women along or near Hiawassee Road from Jan. 1 to Feb. 25, 2023.

Investigators said Odige confessed to the sexual assaults.

Odige testified that he was helping the women by offering them rides.

Sentencing is set for May 21.
