PALM COAST, Fla. – Two Palm Coast teens are facing charges after allegedly fleeing from Flagler County deputies on electric off-road motorcycles, endangering the public, the sheriff’s office said.
A 15-year-old and 14-year-old were driving electric off-road motorcycles on the sidewalks near the intersection of Palm Coast Parkway and Boulder Rock Drive on Wednesday when a deputy attempted a traffic stop, authorities said.

The drivers fled upon seeing the deputy, each driving in opposite directions at high rates of speed, the sheriff’s office said.
Deputies said the 15-year-old was driving against oncoming traffic when the deputy lost sight of him near the I-95 overpass and Palm Coast Parkway. He was arrested on Thursday at his home, accused of fleeing with disregard for safety of persons or property and failing to register a motor vehicle, deputies said.
The 14-year-old was fleeing westbound on a sidewalk along Pine Lakes Parkway and eventually crossed over from the sidewalk onto the street, authorities said, weaving though oncoming traffic.
The sheriff’s office said the 14-year-old was taken into custody after he lost control and crashed onto the grass in front of a home in a residential neighborhood. He faces charges of fleeing and eluding law enforcement and fleeing with disregard for the safety of persons or property, deputies said.
The teens were each booked into the Flagler County jail and were eventually released to their parents, authorities said.

Both motorcycles were seized for potential forfeiture, officials said.
