PORT CANAVERAL, Fla. – For the sixth year in a row, Port Canaveral has been named “Best U.S. Cruise Homeport” by a popular online publication for cruise enthusiasts.
Cruise Hive announced on Monday that Port Canaveral was the favorite among cruisers.
The award was determined by votes that were cast from mid-October through mid-December. Port Canaveral received 27.3% of the total votes.

“This has been a tremendous year for Port Canaveral. Recognition like this validates the consistent hard work our people put in to making our Port the best it can be with a focus on continuous improvement to ensure we provide a high-quality guest experience,” Capt. John Murray, Port Canaveral CEO, said in a statement.
Cruise Hive highlighted Port Canaveral’s cruise experience with “easy-to-read signage directing drivers to their respective cruise terminals and ample parking ensuring a smooth arrival and departure.”
Port leaders announced earlier this month that it surpassed every other cruise terminal on the planet in annual passenger traffic.
Port Canaveral is currently home to 18 cruise ships and handled more than 6 million tons of cargo in the past year.
