Orange County neighborhood turns into crime scene after reports of shooting

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Law enforcement officers swarmed an Orange County neighborhood early Thursday after receiving reports of a shooting.

A “man down” call was reported around 2:45 a.m. on Piedmont Street at Campanella Avenue off Ivey Lane near Carver Middle School.

News 6 community correspondent Mark Lehman said the incident was dispatched as a shooting, possibly involving a woman. One person was taken to a hospital with traumatic injuries.

Several nearby streets are blocked off and detectives and crime scene vans were spotted at the scene, but the Orange County Sheriff’s Office has not released any details about the incident.
