Pedestrian struck, killed by train in Ocala, police say Crash caused road closure on S Pine Ave. to SW 7th Ave

OCALA, Fla. – A person was struck and killed by a train Sunday morning in Ocala, police said.
The Ocala Police Department said officers responded around 7:53 a.m. March 15 to the 500 block of SW 3rd Street for a death incident. Police said the individual was struck by a train and died from their injuries.
Officials said there is no danger to the community.
The road was shut down for several hours, but reopened Sunday night.
