SUVs collide in Ocala, leaving 4 children, 3 adults hospitalized

Crash happened shortly after 4 p.m.

OCALA, Fla. – A crash in Marion County on Thursday afternoon left seven people hospitalized, according to Ocala Fire Rescue.

In a release, fire officials said the crash happened shortly after 4 p.m. at the intersection of Northwest Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and Northwest 22nd Street.

“The collision involved an Infiniti SUV and a Buick SUV,” the release reads. “A total of seven patients were transported to the hospital, including three adults and four children.”

Among the child patients, one was taken to the hospital as a trauma alert for further evaluation due to the “mechanism of injury,” fire officials noted.
