School bus crashes along John Young Parkway, Orlando police say

Fire officials said the crash was reported around 3:30 p.m.

ORLANDO, Fla. – A crash along John Young Parkway on Monday evening resulted in 18 patients, according to the Orlando Fire Department.

In a release, fire officials said the crash happened on South John Young Parkway and Orange Center Boulevard, with the crash being reported around 3:30 p.m.

“There were 18 patients total,” the release reads. “Crews transported 4 adults to nearby hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.”

Meanwhile, the remaining 14 patients were evaluated and monitored at the crash scene, officials added.

Fire officials said that the scene was turned over to Orlando police, who later told News 6 that the crash involved a school bus.

No additional information has been provided at this time.

Meanwhile, another crash was reported along John Young Parkway earlier on Monday, which caused a closure north of Ace Road and south of Lee Road.

While the cause of that crash also remains unclear at this time, traffic in that area was later allowed to reopen.
