ORLANDO, Fla. – Last week, another three Central Florida restaurants were forced to shut their doors after a visit from a health inspector, according to state records.

These records show that the reported eateries experienced violations like license issues, roaches, and storage problems, among others.

That said, all of the Central Florida eateries that were forced to close down last week were eventually able to reopen after meeting health standards.

The full list of Central Florida eateries required to close last week is as follows:


PALM BAY

  • Sweet Delight Jamaican Cuisine — 4500 Dixie Hwy. NE
    • Closed on May 13
      • Fried chicken had mold on it in glass door reach-in cooler
      • Four dead roaches found in kitchen on floor behind equipment
      • Live roaches found in back kitchen near prep table; on wall in kitchen; running across kitchen floor; near chest freezer; and on prep table behind can goods
      • Operating with expired Division of Hotels and Restaurants license
      • Time/temperature violations for chicken wings, chicken quarters, mac-and-cheese, and jerk pork
    • Met inspection standards on May 14

SANFORD

  • Colorado’s Prime Steak — 3863 S. Orlando Drive
    • Closed on May 11
      • Twelve dead roaches found on wall near water heater
      • Two live roaches found inside leg post at three-compartment sink; one spotted on floor near standing water at the sink
      • Nearly 60 small, flying insects found on premises
      • Dishwasher’s chlorine sanitizer not at proper minimum strength
      • Operating with an expired Division of Hotels and Restaurants license
    • Met inspection standards on May 12

    • Closed on May 11
      • Nearly 20 dead roaches found on premises
      • Four live roaches found on premises
      • Live grasshopper-like insect on kitchen floor outside walk-in cooler
      • Two unlabeled chemical bottles stored on top of bag-in-box soda syrup
    • Met inspection standards on May 14
