VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – A Deltona woman has been arrested in connection with a deadly crash along Interstate 4 that claimed three lives, including a Flagler County official and his wife — coming hours after prosecutors declined to file charges against the first suspect in the case.

According to Florida Highway Patrol based on new evidence developed during the ongoing investigation, investigators identified and arrested Alisa Lee Montalvo, age 47, of Deltona for the following charges:

  • Vehicular homicide (3 counts)

  • Leaving the scene of a crash involving serious bodily injury
  • Reckless driving
  • Tampering with evidence

She is currently being held without bond.

The crash happened in October in the Deltona area, the FHP said, when a vehicle changed lanes into the path of another car and triggered a chain-reaction crash involving multiple vehicles. Three people were killed, including a motorcyclist and Flagler County Deputy County Administrator Jorge Salinas and his wife.

Earlier this month, troopers announced the arrest of 23-year-old Lindsey Isaacs of Ocala, but Friday News 6 obtained court records that show no information was filed against Isaacs by prosecutors.

Last week News 6 learned that her arraignment had been postponed after prosecutors revealed that new evidence had emerged in the case, though they declined to publicly disclose what it was.

In a press release, attorney Patrick J. McGeehan says she was jailed 13 days after her April 17 arrest in the case.

McGeehan also says the evidence did not establish Isaacs’ or her vehicle was involved, citing no eyewitness identification and no publicly identified forensic evidence linking her to the crash.

Her attorney is expected to hold a press conference this afternoon to give an update.

The Florida Highway Patrol has said the investigation remains active and ongoing.
