COCOA, Fla. – A 20-year-old Central Florida man was arrested after he reportedly grabbed a DoorDash driver — all without any clothes on, according to the Cocoa Police Department.
In a probable cause affidavit, police said they were initially called to a local home in reference to the incident on Tuesday. However, they interviewed the victim at the police station.
The driver told police that she’d picked up an order earlier that day, but when she arrived at the home to drop it off, a young man came out “completely naked with a fully erect penis,” the affidavit shows.
Investigators said the man — later identified as Jamar Carter, 20 — grabbed the driver as she tried to go back to her vehicle, pressing himself up against her.
“[REDACTED] stated that at this point, she quickly went to her vehicle, and the male aggressively stated, ‘Where the (expletive) do you think you’re going?’” the affidavit reads.
Detectives said they headed to the property and spoke with Carter’s mother about the incident. She reportedly advised that she would find him and take him to the police department herself.
Upon speaking with investigators, Carter claimed that he didn’t place any DoorDash orders that day, but a check of his email showed that he had indeed ordered out, police wrote.
“Mr. Carter then uttered that detectives were taking the word of a ‘white woman’ over his,” the affidavit continues. “Let it be noted that no officer or detective advised Mr. Carter that the reporting party/victim was white.”
Carter was ultimately arrested and now faces charges of kidnapping and sexual battery. He was released on Thursday on a bond of $40,000.
