CSIs flood Orange County neighborhood in search of missing man

Crime scene techs tried to find Tyler Green, 30, over six years later

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Crime scene investigators flooded an Orange County neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon, unnerving some local residents.

Investigators said the response was connected to a missing person’s case from over six years ago.

The case originally kicked off after the man — identified as Tyler Andrew Green, 30 — was reported missing by his mother back in March 2020.

Authorities at the time said he had been recently discharged from the hospital with a serious medical condition, so he was considered endangered due to his health. In addition, officers said that Green’s white bicycle was found on Oakland Avenue by Winter’s Landing.

According to police, a tip had also come in previously that Green may be in or under the pool of a local property along Northwest Crown Point Road in Winter Garden.

But Oakland Police Deputy Chief Mike Bryant told News 6 on Tuesday that investigators received a new tip in the case about two weeks ago.

That recent tip claims that Green was instead buried underground on the property.

In response, a large law enforcement presence popped up in the area on Tuesday, digging down into the site.

However, Bryant said that the Orange County Sheriff’s Office did not uncover anything, so the case is still open and active.

As such, anyone with information on Green’s disappearance is still urged to contact the Oakland Police Department.

No additional information has been provided at this time.
