Underage boy struck by gunfire in Kissimmee, police reveal

Yosber Barrios, 19, faces charges of aggravated battery

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – A “juvenile male” was struck by gunfire in Kissimmee on Thursday evening, according to the police department.

In a release, police said they responded to the 1300 block of Oak Haven Drive after receiving a report about an injured person.

Upon arrival, officers found the boy with a gunshot wound on his left arm, investigators added.

“He was transported by paramedics to Arnold Palmer Hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition,” the release reads.

Detectives revealed they managed to identify the suspect as 19-year-old Yosber Valentin Capriles Barrios.

Barrios was taken into custody on Friday and now faces three counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
