Orange County district OKs e-bike ban for schools

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – E-bikes and e-scooters are now off-limits for some Orange County Public Schools students.

School board members approved the policy on Tuesday night, banning elementary-school students from bringing e-bikes or e-scooters on school property.

Under these new rules, other students are still allowed to use the devices on campus, but only if they follow specific rules, such as having a valid driver’s permit.

The district’s regulations outline requirements for where the devices can be used and stored, along with additional expectations for student riders.
