VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – A Lakeland man is back behind bars after he continued stalking a 16-year-old girl from jail, the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said.
Joseph William Danger Woodard, 27, turned himself in overnight Monday on three new counts of aggravated stalking.

According to a news release, Woodard was first arrested Aug. 1 after showing up uninvited at the teenager’s home north of DeLand — a girl he had met on Snapchat. He bonded out Aug. 19 but quickly faced new warrants after investigators said he violated a no-contact order by sending the girl letters and gifts while still in custody.
The girl reported Woodard appeared at her home twice back on July 30 and July 31, and she refused to let him inside both times, deputies said.
“She was sleeping on Friday when she woke up to a window rattling and saw Woodard outside,” according to the news release. When she opened the door, Woodard put his foot in the doorway. She was still able to close it.
Woodard then fired multiple gunshots into the ground outside the home before leaving in a red Toyota hatchback. The victim was not injured, deputies said.
Minutes later, deputies detained Woodard just north of the intersection of State Road 11 and State Road 40.
Inside the vehicle, deputies found seven spent shell casings, two 9mm handguns, boxes containing approximately 350 9mm rounds and six Glock pistol magazines. An additional spent shell casing was recovered from the driveway at the scene.
Woodard is being held in the Volusia County Jail with no bond.
