ORLANDO, Fla. – Each week on News 6 at Nine, News 6 likes to share some good news about Orlando-area first responders.
This week, five local agencies in Central Florida shared heartwarming stories on social media.
Orange County Fire Rescue officials shared a touching story of a man and his family being reunited with the crews who saved him earlier this year when he was trapped in his submerged vehicle for more than 10 minutes after a serious crash. Crews said his family had kept in touch since the incident, but pictures posted this week showed the first time they had all been reunited. It won't be the last time, either. The man's family has been invited to a special ceremony to present a lifesaving award.

A community officer in Kissimmee showed off some skills by not only making smiles happen at a local fall festival, but also by being able to capture them to share them with everyone late. Of course, the pictures were so good, officers had to post them on the Police Department's Twitter account.

The roles reversed in Lake County this week, where students at Eustis Middle School raised hundreds of dollars to buy equipment for K-9s with the Lake County Sheriff's Office. Of course, they also had delicious donated treats for the crime-fighting pups when they presented the check.
Way to go, kids.

When a man had his bicycle stolen from a church, deputies with the Marion County Sheriff's Office searched high and low to find it. When they couldn't, they came together to buy the man a new one. They were able to surprise him with his new ride and captured his reaction to share on Facebook.

Is it too early to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal? The Flagler County Sheriff's Office doesn't think so. A commander with the Sheriff's Office joined the Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranch for its Turkey in the Ground event. At 4 a.m., they buried a bird.
