According to FHP, the driver of the car hauler failed to stop for traffic ahead, striking the rear of a second vehicle. The impact set off a chain reaction involving four additional vehicles — six total in the crash.

Three people were transported to the hospital. Two were listed in serious condition, and one sustained minor injuries. Troopers, tow trucks, and cleanup crews remained on scene as all southbound lanes of I-95 were blocked.

All lanes have reopened. The crash remains under investigation.
