LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – Star Tours Flight 1401 is off to new destinations.

Last month, Disney announced it would be adding new scenes to Star Tours - The Adventures Continue. Star Tours predates Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Friday was a day to appreciate the original Star Wars attraction.

What can you expect?

With additions from “Ahsoka,” “Andor” and “The Mandalorian,” space travelers will now have an opportunity to experience one of more than 250 storyline variations aboard the motion simulator attraction.

I was able to experience the ride twice in one day and both times delivered different combinations, a mix of familiar scenes and new ones.

Flights started off on Hoth and Tatooine before getting whisked off to the planet Peridea where the tour was greeted by a pod of purrgil (aka space whales). At some point of the journey, expect urgent transmissions from characters such as Ahsoka Tano, or The Mandalorian and his loveable sidekick, Grogu.

Star Tours has stood the test of time, going through previous upgrades like the addition of stories based on the Skywalker Saga movies. These new adventures featuring Disney+ characters can easily complete any Star Wars fan’s day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Star Tours has been updated at Walt Disney World, Disneyland and Disneyland Paris.
