While kids around the world are busy writing letters to Santa detailing what toys they want under the Christmas Tree this year, some Central Florida kids are writing letters with a different wish.

At 14 years old, Annabel Joseph is already getting results for her community in the Orange County community of Pine Hills.

The Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida and the City of Winter Garden broke ground on their new location in the historic East Winter Garden.

On the heels of the Orlando Magic’s game three play-off win, former players Bo Outlaw and Nick Anderson hosted a Magic Youth Basketball Academy at the Boys and Girls Club in Parramore.

While Goldsboro is home to generations of families, it's also home to the Westside Community Center, where the future generation is in good hands.

A celebration of life was held at the Boys and Girls Club in Parramore Friday evening to honor several young people killed by gun violence.

Three young members of the Boys and Girls Club got the opportunity of a lifetime.

OVIEDO, Fla. – Oviedo city leaders are honoring a woman who helped so many in the community. Last month, the Oviedo City Council unanimously agreed to change the name of the road. “She was not just a citizen of Oviedo, she was a legacy in Oviedo, and she’s left her lasting mark here,” Jenkins said. Jenkins said the street sign is a symbol of what her mother accomplished. “She’s looking down, she’s smiling, she’s thanking the residents of Oviedo, she’s thanking her family, OCIA, that you all honored me, you loved me and thank God,” Jenkins said.

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando Police Officers rolled into Academy Sports + Outdoors Friday on a mission to shop, not for themselves, but for 10 kids at the Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida. These children would not have anything to open on Christmas if it wasn’t for the community and this event,” said Boys & Girls Club of Central Florida V.P. While the officers were inside, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer was outside dressed as Santa for the morning, raising money for the Boys & Girls Club on the radio. Orlando police officers and Shades, with the Orlando Solar Bears, went on a shopping trip for 10 children this Christmas. Academy Sports also donated some equipment to the Boys & Girls Club of Central Florida and presented them with $1,000, a gifts they hope will help support local kids through after school programming and mentorship.
