Camping World returns as title sponsor for SRX summer series
Tony Stewart's exhibition Superstar Racing Experience has signed Camping World as its title sponsor for its second season. Camping World also was the title sponsor for the inaugural SRX season, and Tuesday's announcement includes a commitment from Camping World to sponsor the No. 1 car that former Indianapolis 500 winner Ryan Hunter-Reay will drive. SRX this season will feature Stewart, who founded the series with fellow NASCAR Hall of Famer Ray Evernham and captured the series' first championship.news.yahoo.com
Free drive-thru COVID-19 testing coming to Orlando Camping World Stadium
ORLANDO, Fla. Following the Fourth of July holiday weekend, the city of Orlando plans to open additional, free mobile coronavirus testing sites next week. COVID-19 mobile testing sites will operate on Wednesday at various locations throughout the city. No symptom criteria need to be met and testing is free to everyone, but appointments are required. The first drive-thru site opens July 8 at Camping World Stadium, 1 Citrus Bowl Place. Additional pedestrian-friendly accessible testing sites will be announced soon.
Orlando doubles down on its long-shot World Cup bid

"Orlando hosted five World Cup matches at the Citrus Bowl in 1994, where the extreme heat and humidity took center stage. All of the matches, scheduled at midday start times, were played in temperatures of 95 degrees or above , with humidity in excess of 70 percentage. A group-stage match between Mexico and Ireland was played in 105-degree heat.The tournament will be hosted somewhere in the U.S. in 2026. Bids will be filed to FIFA in June, after which the federation will take around a year to choose a 2026 host.orlandoweekly.com
