Sheriff: Teen charged after gun found at Marion County high school
MARION COUNTY, Fla. — A Marion County teen is facing felony charges after deputies say he brought a stolen handgun to school last year.
According to the Marion County Sheriff’s office, on Oct 21, deputies we called to Forest High School after a student reported finding a handgun inside a restroom.

Sky Bouche accused of fighting jail guard in Ocala
Sky Bouche, the man accused in the 2018 Forest High School shooting, has been accused of fighting a detention official at the Marion County Jail. Bouche, 21, is accused of kicking the detention deputy in his groin when Bouche refused to be transported to another housing area at the jail. According to the report, a detention deputy was moving Bouche when Bouche asked why. The official told Bouche he did not know, and Bouche told the detention deputy: "Im not going and Im fighting anybody." Deputies then tried placing Bouche on a bench, but he continued to fight them and kicked one of the detention deputies in the groin.

School Board members said the move makes since for two reasons: continuity and financially. The technical high school would be next door to the adult training center. The School Board also recognized that Lake Weir Middle School is also in need of replacement. The district has purchased property near Lake Weir High School in Silver Springs Shores for that new school. School Board member Kelly King said she supported the new MTI building, but thinks the district should think twice about selling off property.

The School Board wants to explore the feasibility of turning Liberty Middle School into a special-needs shelter in the event of an emergency, such as a hurricane. The district has been eyeing Forest High School to join West Port High School as the countys second special-needs shelter. Knight noted that using Liberty Middle as the second special-needs shelter has many more pros than cons. The biggest advantage is that Liberty Middle was built with sales tax dollars. The district can use remaining sales tax dollars to buy a generator for Liberty Middle, but could not at Forest High.
