wftv.comNo-go for Joe Exotic: Trump pardon list omits ‘Tiger King’
OKLAHOMA CITY – One name missing in President Donald Trump's flurry of pardons was “Tiger King” Joe Exotic. His team was so confident in a pardon that they had readied a celebratory limousine and a hair and wardrobe team to whisk away the zookeeper-turned-reality-TV-star, who is serving a 22-year federal prison sentence in Texas. Maldonado-Passage, who has maintained his innocence, was also sentenced for killing five tigers, selling tiger cubs and falsifying wildlife records. In his pardon application filed in September, Maldonado-Passage’s attorneys argued that he was “railroaded and betrayed” by others. The blond mullet-wearing zookeeper, known for his expletive-laden rants on YouTube and a failed 2018 Oklahoma gubernatorial campaign, was prominently featured in the popular Netflix documentary “Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness.”
‘Tiger King’s’ Carole Baskin awarded Joe Exotic’s FMR Zoo
Carole Baskin won a major victory in court Monday against her “Tiger King” nemesis Joe Exotic. In Joe Exotic's worst nightmare scenario, Carole Baskin is now the owner of his infamous animal park. An Oklahoma judge ruled in favor of Baskin's Big Cat Rescue corporation in its lawsuit against Joe Exotic's zoo. The court is giving Baskin control of the 16-acre animal park in Garvin County, Oklahoma, with its array of big cats. An attorney for Jeff Lowe who currently owns Joe Exotic's park, told CNN Baskin's victory was not unexpected.

ocala.comFinished ‘Tiger King’? 5 over-the-top things to watch next
Will anything ever compare to the antics of Joe Exotic, Doc Antle or Carole Baskin, of “Tiger King” fame? But we have to assume you’ve finished the show by now, which leads us to this next question: What will you watch next? The following five recommendations seem to be just as crazy as “Tiger King” -- not necessarily the same brand of crazy, but on par when it comes to unbelievability, like, “How can this possibly be real?”(OK, and from the sounds of it, No. 5 miiiiight be the same genre as “Tiger King.”)Anyway, to compile this list, we asked around and brainstormed ourselves. I’ll never get those two hours back.”Those weren’t exactly ringing endorsements, but we thought it was worth a mention.
The ‘Tiger King’ reunion special is out and it’s as bonkers as you’d hope
It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for: the rumored “Tiger King” reunion episode has officially dropped, and it’s just as wacky and bonkers as you’d hope it would be. Most fans would probably want to hear from the “Tiger King” himself, Joe Exotic, but as we all know, Exotic is currently in jail, so that wasn’t really a possibility. It also seems that everyone in the cast has moved on from Exotic and thinks that he is a terrible human being. McCale also asked the cast members what celebrity they’d want to play them in a movie version of “Tiger King,” and it was pretty funny to hear their answers. Hop on Netflix and soak in every minute of the bonus episode of “Tiger King.”
We might be getting one more ‘Tiger King’ episode, according to show’s Jeff Lowe
One of the stars of the series, Jeff Lowe, made a personalized Cameo for Los Angeles Dodgers player Justin Turner, and Lowe announced that one more episode is still to come in the epic “Tiger King” saga. So our friend @christie_dish listened to the podcast, @HoldingKourt and after last weeks episode decided to send us this!!! 🚨BREAKING NEWS FOLKS🚨There will be 1 more episode of #TigerKing on@Netflix pic.twitter.com/YeRSIlDKTJ — Justin Turner (@redturn2) April 4, 2020“Netflix is adding one more episode. Netflix hasn’t actually confirmed a new episode of the show, but given its huge popularity while everyone is stuck inside quarantining, it makes sense for the streaming network to capitalize on the “Tiger King” phenomenon while it’s still hot. Oh, and if you still haven’t hunkered down on your couch to watch “Tiger King” yet, what are you waiting for?
Column: Why cant President Orange Julius be more like Queen Elizabeth?
Theres President Orange Julius delivering another bloated pandemic update with white spoons around his eyes, belittling reporters and mashing messages after falling asleep under the tanning lamp again. The president is competing for audience with Tiger King Joe Exotic, but Trumps show is an even bigger circus. The bodies are piling up and Trump says hes doing a good job but not getting enough credit. Just doesnt think its for him. Why would someone who could literally save lives by the mere act of leading by example refuse to do so?
latimes.comRejoice: Kate McKinnon will play Carole Baskin in TV show, reports say
Variety reports that there is a limited series being made about the big cat lovers, which is based off a podcast called “Joe Exotic," and it will star “SNL’s" Kate McKinnon as Baskin herself. McKinnon signed up to play Baskin in the fall, long before the masses knew anything of the epic feud between Exotic and Baskin, according to the report. Since we have McKinnon cast, the next obvious question is what actors should play the other colorful characters from “Tiger King,” such as Exotic or Doc Antle. Matthew McConaughey comes to mind, especially if you’ve seen him in “Dallas Buyers Club.”Danny McBride, who is known for playing trashy characters, would also nail Exotic. As for who should play Antle, who is equally as zany as Exotic, he’d have to be played by Will Ferrell.
Netflix’s ‘Tiger King’ is essential quarantine viewing

As of now, no network is attached to the project and no other actors have been announced. That being said, the role of Joe Exotic should be played by either Matthew McConaughey, David Spade or Danny McBride. There will be no discussion on this.Since the coronavirus outbreak, has been a massive hit on Netflix. Centered on the big cat industry, specifically on Joe Exotic and his bitter rivalry with Baskin, the show has it all: drugs, mullets, country music, gay triads, sex cults, Jay Leno and more. But not everyone is a fan. click to enlarge Screenshot via NetflixArguably the best distraction right now from the ongoing apocalypse is Netflixs new docuseries , which essentially focuses on bitter rivalries within the bizarre big cat industry, and one of the main people featured in it, Carole Baskin, is not at all happy. In a blog posted Sunday to her website, the CEO of Tampas Big Cat Rescue said she was disappointed. When the directors of the Netflix documentarycame to us five years ago they said they wanted to make the big cat version of, writes Baskin, "that would expose the misery caused by the rampant breeding of big cat cubs for cub petting exploitation and the awful life the cats lead in roadside zoos and back yards if they survive. While the docuseries certainly addresses these things, and mostly focuses on the exploits of convicted zookeeper Joe Exotic and his failed murder for hire plot aimed at Baskin, it also spends an entire episode on the strange circumstances involving the disappearance of Baskin's husband, Don Lewis. In episode three, its implied that Lewis body was put into a meat grinder and fed to tigers, which Baskin hotly refutes. The meat grinder shown in the video was enormous. Our meat grinder was one of those little tabletop, hand-crank things, like youd have in your kitchen at home, says Baskin in the blog post.Don was not easy to live with and like most couples we had our moments, Baskin continues. But I never threatened him and I certainly had nothing to do with his disappearance. When he disappeared, I did everything I could to assist the police. You can read her full response to the show here

Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness, which called riveting and perfect social-distancing binge, hits the streaming service today.
