This NASA scientist changed the way we see satellite images of Earth
She noticed the mechanical parts inside the box and always wondered how they produced images on the screen. Thomas started her work on Landsat in 1970 and the Landsat Satellite launched two years later in 1972. AdโScientists were initially sent the images printed on photo paper and then they requested digital versions of the images to do more extensive research. They were referred to me when they had questions about the format of the Landsat images on the tapes,โ said Thomas. After a life-long career, Thomas retired from NASA in 1995, but she kept busy even after retirement.

In a more private setting, Bach has spoken directly about Olympic athletesโ responsibility to consider the vaccine. In an on-line session last month with the IOCโs Athletesโ Commission, Bach was asked โ among other things โ if athletes would be โforcedโ to be vaccinated. As well as the 11,000 Olympic athletes, there could be tens of thousands of officials, judges, VIPs, and media and broadcasters traveling to Japan for the games.

Orlando churches, school plan food distribution Thursday

Tameka Thomas, Founder of Meridian Christian Academy says volunteers from all three organizations will be on hand to distribute fruit, vegetables and an assortment of other food in a drive through setting. "We're in the middle of a food desert," Thomas said. "Kids are out of school and for many of them the meal they would get there is the best they'll get."
