ORLANDO, Fla. – A man wearing a blanket while standing in the road was struck and killed Wednesday night in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash happened around 10:15 p.m. on Edgewater Drive near 2nd Street in Orlando.

The FHP said a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu driven by a 66-year-old Orlando woman was eastbound on Edgewater Drive when she struck Richard Griggs, 63, of Orlando.
Griggs was taken to Florida Hospital South and later died, troopers said.
The woman driving the Malibu was not injured, the FHP said.
It's not known why Griggs was in the roadway, and the crash remains under investigation.
