DOT looking at effects of flooding on I-4 after ponding closes several lanes

The lanes reopened around 6:10 p.m. Thursday

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation said crews are looking at the effects of flooding on Interstate 4 after ponding of water closed several lanes during rush Thursday near the Princeton exit.

The lanes on the interstate were closed for about 30 minutes.

“The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is determining the extent and impacts to the traveling public, private property as well as safety considerations. FDOT will make appropriate assessments and require a plan of action from the contractor,” the department said in a statement.
