Orlando woman killed in motorcycle crash

ORLANDO, Fla. – A 34-year-old Orlando woman was killed and a 30-year-old St. Cloud man was seriously injured early Monday in a motorcycle crash in Orange County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The fatal wreck happened around 2:30 a.m. on Redditt Road at Tidewave Street, north of Orlando International Airport.

The FHP said the man was driving the motorcycle north on Redditt when he failed to navigate a curve and crashed into a sign. The man and woman were ejected from the bike, troopers said.

According to the FHP, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The man was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, troopers said. Neither was wearing a helmet, according to an FHP report.

Charges are pending against the driver.
