Man struck, killed while walking on I-95 in Flagler County, troopers say

FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – A Palm Coast man was struck and killed by a car Thursday night while walking in an Interstate 95 travel lane, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash happened at 9 p.m. near mile marker 287, as the car was traveling southbound.

The man, 64, entered the vehicle’s path before it collided with him, according to a report.

The driver, a 58-year-old Ormond Beach woman, was not injured, the FHP said.

No other details, including why the man was walking in the middle of I-95, were disclosed.
