State Road 417 reopens in Orange County after 3 crashes shut down southbound lanes

Lanes were closed at mile marker 12

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Three crashes Friday morning on State Road 417 in Orange County forced the temporary closure of southbound lanes at Landstar Boulevard, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The roadway was reopened by 10:18 a.m., troopers said. Traffic cameras at the scene showed emergency crews mulling about multiple wrecked cars in the hours prior.

While one scene was reported at Landstar Boulevard, another occurred on SR-417 at the Florida Turnpike. The location of the third crash has only so far been described as in the area of mile marker 12.

No official word has come down at the time of this report regarding the circumstances of the crashes, how many vehicles were involved or if anyone was hurt.
