Lake County crash sparks traffic backups along Florida’s Turnpike

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – A crash in Lake County involving several vehicles prompted slowdowns along Florida’s Turnpike on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.

FDOT officials announced that the crash happened along Florida’s Turnpike North before mile marker 289.

Due to the crash, traffic along the highway has backed up to Exit 285 (U.S.-27 South), according to FDOT. In the meantime, FDOT said all lanes were closed.
