Man walking in road struck, killed by motorcycle in Mount Dora, police say

MOUNT DORA, Fla. – A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a motorcycle on Tuesday, according to Mount Dora police.

Police said the crash happened on County Road 19A at Progress Boulevard, but didn’t say what time it occurred.

An initial investigation reveals the pedestrian — Jason Bowlin, 42 —was walking in the road when he was struck, police said.

Officers said the 38-year-old motorcyclist was taken to a hospital, but they didn’t specify the extent of his injuries.

The motorcycle rider does not face any charges at this time.
