Georgia woman dies after crash in Cocoa Beach

Crash occurred on SR-520 near Constitution Bicentennial Park

COCOA BEACH, Fla. – A woman died after a New Year’s Eve crash in Cocoa Beach, according to police.

Pamela Morrison, 70, of Barney, Georgia, died in the hospital, according to investigators. Morrison was a passenger during the crash, which happened around 9:08 p.m. on the West Cocoa Beach Causeway just west of Constitution Bicentennial Park, police said. Officers believe speed may have been a factor in the wreck.

In addition to Morrison, the driver of the vehicle she was in along with the driver and passenger in the other vehicle were taken to the hospital.

Investigators did not say what condition the other victims were in or whether anyone could face charges following the crash.
