Fire engulfs dump truck on Interstate 4 at Osceola Parkway

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – A dump truck became engulfed in flames Tuesday on Interstate 4 in Osceola County, prompting the closure of the roadway during rush hour, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The vehicle fire was reported at 7:20 a.m. on I-4 east at Osceola Parkway.

The FHP said the driver got out of the dump truck and was not injured. It’s not known what caused the vehicle fire.

Eastbound lanes of I-4 were closed in the area, but the roadway was later reopened.

No other details have been released.
