ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – We will be cruising some new travel lanes on Florida’s Turnpike out by State Road 429.
Located in the booming area of Winter Garden and Ocoee, the growth of homes and increase of cars on the road has caused major roadway transformation out here.
A viewer asked to explain the travel lanes out here, so I thought I could gain some knowledge as well.
Steven Montiero, better known as “Trooper Steve," joined the News 6 morning team as its Traffic Safety Expert in October 2017.
A Central Florida native and decorated combat veteran, Montiero comes to the station following an eight-year assignment with the Florida Highway Patrol.
